Niftylift, lifting you to new heights, safer and more reliably!Niftylift SA is the sole distributor of Nifty and Skyjack (sold under the Skydeck banner in SA) mobile work platforms in Southern Africa with our head office is based in Cape Town. Niftylift was formed in 2004 by a partnership between Mark Smith (Executive Director), Tim Ward (National Sales Manager – Nifty UK) and John King (Director – Nifty Australia). A recent deal between Niftylift SA cc and Skyjack Canada (a division of the Linamar group) saw us securing the distribution rights for Skydeck for the Sub-Saharan African region. This has broadened our scope, allowing us not only to offer trailer mounts, track mounts and self-propelled booms, but now also slab and rough terrain scissor lifts. Our supplier, Nifty LTD (UK) is a manufacturer of trailer mounted, self propelled, track mounted and vehicle mounted hydraulic access equipment. Sometimes known as a ‘Cherry picker’ or Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP), their work platforms are compact, robust and above all safe as they conform to CE, EN280, OSHA & ANSI safety standards. They include features such as articulating & telescopic booms, cage rotation and fly (jib) booms, making them an ideal alternative to ladders, scaffold towers and scissor lifts. Nifty products are designed and developed in the UK using advanced 3D modelling packages that help to optimise every aspect of new product design, improving performance and reducing unnecessary weight and therefore reducing the transport cost of the equipment. Niftylift’s experience in the rental industry has provided essential insights into the importance of machine reliability, ease of operation and minimal maintenance for the customer. With this in mind, Nifty work platforms are designed, where possible, with fully proportional control systems due their reliability under heavy use and manufactured using standardised components across the product ranges to aid maintenance and availability of spare parts. Skyjack shares a very similar philosophy – “keep it simple and robust” and it is this that has helped engineers produce an industry leading dependability, serviceability and the lowest life cycle cost machines on the market. |
